I. A Worshiping Congregation Whose Members Will:

a.  Faithfully attend weekly worship services in person and on
virtual platforms

b.  Engage in reverent, joyful worship that acknowledges and
celebrates Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior

c.  Include music that expresses love for God and magnifies His
sovereignty and grace as an essential element of worship.

d. Joyfully perform essential roles that enhance the to the overall
worship service experience such as greeting guests, ushering,
singing in the choir, working in the nursery, providing sound and
media services, etc.

e. Greet guests with a loving, joyful attitude that lets them know
that they are welcome to the body of believers

f. Eagerly attend and participate in special worship services that
celebrate the Church Year such as Advent, Christmas, Ash
Wednesday, Lent, and Easter

g. Lovingly embrace and assimilate new members into the
community of believers

II. A Spirit-Filled, Praying Church that will:

a. Invoke the presence of the Holy Spirit, during worship,
through fervent corporate prayer as well as personal prayer at the altar

b.  Pray for the spiritual growth of others and for their specific
needs

c.  Encourage members to engage in personal daily prayer
beyond the church service

d. Encourage prayer partner relationships that encourage and
grow one’s faith and commitment on the Christian journey.

III. A Bible-Based Church that will:

a. Base its preaching, teaching, worship, mission, and ministry on
the power and unerring sufficiency of the Word of God base fix

b. Promote a rigorous Christian Education program that
prioritizes Bible study and Church School

IV.  A Soul-Winning Church that will encourage every member to:

a. Boldly share their faith with others with determination and
conviction

b. Make evangelism a personal mission by regularly inviting
persons to church

c. Bring unchurched family members to church on a regular basis

V.  A Caring Church Whose Members Will:

a.  Minister to the spiritual, emotional, physical, and financial
needs of one another

b.  Recognize, appreciate, and accept individual differences.

c. Acknowledge that each person’s talent or gift is equally
important in the sight of God and should be exercised in unity
and love to build up the body of Christ.

d. Ensure that every member knows, with certainty, that he/she
is a beloved member of a FAMILY of believers

e.  Encourage members to imitate Christ’s servant attitude,
clothing themselves in humility, patience, and forgiveness.

 

VI. A Tithing Church Where Every Member Will Move towards becoming a Full Tither trusting that:

a. Tithing is what God’s Word tells us to do. (Malachi 3:8-12)

b. Tithing shows God has our hearts.

c. Tithing allows others to see God’s work in action

d. Tithing expresses our love for God

VII. A Christian Education Church That Will:

a. Place special emphasis on teaching ministries – Church
School, Bible study, and cultural enrichment opportunities.

b. Establish a virtual church school class for members
confronted with health, employment, school, or other concerns
that physically prevent them from attending church school in
person.

c. Promote an active Young Adult Ministry

d. Support a strong, comprehensive Youth Ministry

VIII. A Community Conscious Church That Will:

a. Generously give time, talent and resources through
established outreach ministries and encourage every ministry to
include outreach in its mission

b. Share the gospel and meet the physical needs of the broader
community by partnering with benevolent non-profit community
agencies such as Habitat for Humanity, the American Cancer
Society, and homeless coalitions

c. Develop sustained collaboration with local government, law
enforcement and criminal justice, school boards, healthcare
institutions, veteran and fraternal organizations, and other entities that impact the social, economic, and physical health of the
community

IX. A Politically Aware and Active Church That Will:

a.  Advocate for justice and equality for all people

b.  Represent people of faith by expressing their positions and
concerns at political and civic gatherings.

c.  Conduct non-partisan voter education and registration
initiatives

d. Educate the community on the political record and platforms
of aspirants for political office

e. Provide a safe retreat for community organizations/groups to
gather to discuss issues and create agendas

X. A Church With a Vision beyond the Four Walls that Will:

a. Provide Christian and secular education for young people in
the community via Vacation Bible School, Summer Camps,
mentoring, and other programs

b. Provide financial, material, and human resources (when
possible), at home and abroad, to communities impacted by
natural disasters as well as impoverished educational,
healthcare, and economic systems

c.  Provide Christian resources and financial contributions to
churches in third-world countries
